Congratulations to this quarter’s B.O.S.S. Card winners — John Richard and David Blackwell! Both have earned $50 gift cards for submitting high-quality B.O.S.S. Cards during their time offshore.

Boss Energy Solutions would like to thank all employees who have thus far participated in our behavior-based safety management program, B.O.S.S. (Behavior Observation Safety Sheets). Your continued involvement is essential to the success of this program and to our ongoing journey toward safety excellence.

REMINDER: All Boss team members are required to perform at least ONE B.O.S.S. observation per hitch and submit it to our HSE team. The data gathered from these observations helps us better understand the motivations behind at-risk behaviors. By communicating and acting on this information, we can prevent injuries, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement meaningful action plans — all of which make Boss Energy Solutions a safer workplace.

As participation grows, we encourage everyone to focus on the quality of your observation cards rather than the quantity. Occasionally, submissions are categorized inaccurately, which limits the usefulness of the data. Please take a moment to review the available categories and subcategories to ensure each observation is submitted correctly and reflects the actual conditions observed.

At Boss Energy Solutions, we are always looking for ways to improve. We’re currently developing an enhanced B.O.S.S. submission tool designed to make completing and submitting observations even easier. Stay tuned for the launch of this innovative feature next year!

Basic Steps of an Observation

  1. Introduce yourself and announce that you’re conducting an observation.

  2. Observe an individual or team at work and sample their behaviors.

  3. Document your findings on the B.O.S.S. form.

  4. Review your observations with the person or group — start with the positive and reinforce safe behaviors.

  5. Discuss any at-risk behaviors and ask for input. Remember, this is a conversation. Document all at-risk behaviors and corrective actions.

  6. Thank the individual or team for their time.

  7. Submit your completed observation to our HSE team at safety@go-bes.com

Earn Recognition and Rewards!

Each quarter, the top quality B.O.S.S. observations will be selected, and winners will receive a $50 gift card along with recognition on social media and The Boss Bulletin. Sharing these outstanding observations helps increase safety awareness and reinforces our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our work.
