Some of the faces at Boss Energy Solutions may be familiar—and that’s no coincidence.

Long before there was a Boss Energy Solutions, many of the people helping build the company today worked alongside one another at Shamrock Energy Solutions.

Founded and led by Jeff Trahan before its sale in 2019, Shamrock brought together a team that spent years building relationships—with one another, with employees and with customers throughout the industry. When Jeff returned to oil and gas five years later and began the next chapter with Boss, some familiar faces eventually began finding their way back together.

But this isn’t about recreating the past. It’s about building on a strong foundation.

Relationships Built Over Years

For Land Operations Manager Eddie “Jap” Sonnier, that shared history matters. In talking about the old Shamrock team, Jap kept coming back to the relationships and trust built from years of working together. When you already know someone’s strengths, work ethic and character, there’s a level of confidence that can’t be created overnight.

Those relationships extend well beyond the walls of the company. Many members of the Boss team have spent decades working with operators, contractors and field personnel across the industry—building customer relationships that have followed them through changing roles, companies and market conditions.

And the Shamrock connection runs throughout Boss.

HSE Director Gawain “Vic” Vicknair previously led HSE at Shamrock and brings more than 30 years of industry experience. Jap brings more than 20 years of experience across land operations, production, I&E and mechanical services. Mechanical Maintenance Manager Don Gaspard, with 50 years of mechanical and maintenance experience, spent 13 years leading mechanical operations at Shamrock.

The familiar faces extend behind the scenes, too. Darkus Prosperie, formerly Shamrock’s Controller, is once again part of the team, along with Jason Lyons, who previously served as legal counsel. Lauren Ritchie, who worked in marketing and communications at Shamrock, has also returned to support Boss in that role.

Executive Vice President Shanna Kornegay shares that history as well. In reflecting on her own return to the industry, she has spoken about the people, culture and opportunities that made her years at Shamrock meaningful—and the opportunity Boss now has to create that kind of environment for a new generation of employees.

Building on the Foundation

While many of the relationships go back years, Boss isn’t trying to rebuild the company that existed before.

Today, Boss Energy Solutions has broader capabilities and a growing ability to support customers throughout the life of an asset. Along with production operations and workforce support, Boss offers HSE, mechanical and I&E services, while Stokes & Spiehler adds decades of specialized consulting expertise across drilling, completions, production, decommissioning and more.

The shared experience of the people behind Boss provides a foundation—but where the company goes from here is the opportunity.

The name is different. The capabilities have grown. The industry continues to change.

But the value of trusted relationships, proven experience and good people working well together hasn’t changed at all.

At Boss, we’re bringing those things forward—and building what’s next.
